THE BUG GOING AROUND HAS PROBABLY PUT A COUPLE OF YOUR CO-WORKERS OR CLASSMATES OUT OF COMMISION ALREADY THIS YEAR. BUT, THIS WEEK IN WHITEHALL IT HIT WITH MORE FORCE.
OUT OF THE MORE THAN 770 STUDENTS IN K-12 AT WHITEHALL SCHOOL, ONE-HUNDRED-AND NINETY-FIVE WERE HOME SICK YESTERDAY....ALMOST THIRTY PERCENT.
BUT KIDS WEREN'T THE ONLY ONES BEING NURSED BACK TO HEALTH. SUPERINTENDENT MIKE BEIGHLEY SAYS THAT FOURTEEN TO TWENTY SUPPORT STAFF, INCLUDING TEACHERS, JANITORS, AND COOKS WERE EXPECTED TO CALL IN SICK TODAY, TOO MANY TO FIND SUBSTITUTES FOR.
FOR ALL YOU STUDENTS IN WHITEHALL WONDERING IF YOU'LL GET ANOTHER DAY OF REST, YOU PROBABLY WON'T, BAIGHLEY EXPECTS CLASSES TO RESUME TOMORROW.
