Joining Together Against a Congressman

The Federal Election Commission approved a plan by two Congressional candidates from different parties to raise money together.

Yesterday the FEC approved that Democrat Jeff Walz and Republican James Burkee can go ahead with their plan to form a joint fundraising committee.

The two men are trying to knock off Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner.

He's a Wisconsin Republican who has been in Congress since 1979.

They plan to campaign together with an emphasis on decency, cooperation and collaboration.

Walz and Burkee are both professors at Concordia University.
