Eau Claire Area Restaurant Robbed

The Eau Claire County Sheriff said his deputies are searching for a man who stole money and some kind of tin box from a restaurant near the intersection of the north crossing and I-94 just before 9 p.m. Sunday.

Officers said he pointed a large caliber pistol at a customer or employee while robbing the place.

Officers say the man has another guy with him in a pickup truck, and was parked behind Karl and Cindy's Embers Restaurant when he fled the scene and headed toward Dunn County.

There's no word as to how much was stolen from the restaurant.

At last report, officers were looking for a white man in his late 20's or early 30's, around five feet, eight inches tall, and wearing blue jeans, a green shirt or jacket and a green ski mask. They say he was driving a late model blue or blue-gray pickup truck with no topper, and another white man is with him.

If you have any information on their whereabouts, call 839-4972.
