Drug Bust in Eau Claire

Four people were arrested Monday after officers say they found 26 pounds of marijuana in an Eau Claire home.

Eau Claire Police say at around noon Monday, they searched the house at 2411 Fairfax Street and found the pot, along with $10,000 in cash and a loaded gun.

Richard Bahl, Matthew Ross, Shane Taylor and Ashley Rodriguez were all arrested.

Rodriguez could also face charges of maintaining a drug house.

Lieutenant Karl Fisher says the arrests stemmed from a routine traffic stop on December 9th.

"Officers could smell the odor of marijuana and ended up using our K-9 to search the vehicle,” Fisher said. “Money and drugs were recovered from the vehicle and eventually information from that case is what lead to this case here."

All 4 suspects are scheduled to be in court Wednesday (tomorrow).
