Arizona businessman Reggie Fowler is breaking new ground in the N-F-L. He has agreed to buy the Minnesota Vikings in a deal that would make him the league's first black owner.
The team made the announcement Monday, and Fowler isn't saying how much he would pay for the club. Published reports and a rival bidder peg it at about 625 million dollars.
Owner Red McCombs has been trying to sell the team for the past three years. He bought the club in 1998 for 246 million.
Glen Taylor, owner of the Minnesota Timberwolves NBA team, had offered 600 million for the team.
