A Wisconsin meat processor is recalling 123-thousand pounds of ground beef because it may be contaminated.
Emmpak Foods says the beef may have been contaminated with hydraulic fluid at its Milwaukee plant.
The company says most of the meat was shipped to retail distributors in Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana. But, it says about 22-thousand pounds went to Florida, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, North Carolina, South Carolina and Pennsylvania.
Emmpak issued the recall after a customer complained to the U-S Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service.
The one-pound packages are marked with sell-by dates of January 31st, February first and second. The packages carry the code E-S-T-20654 located inside the U-S-D-A inspection mark.
