Eau Claire County road crews have spent the day clearing away the snow drifts that buried many roadways Sunday.
Eau Claire County Department of Roads Commissioner Tom Walther says all county crews were back in at 4:00 Monday morning. Walther says there are 20 county trucks out on county roads and another 12 trucks clearing state roads throughout the county.
Walther says everything is getting plowed, but advises that, even though sand is being spread, roads remain slippery.
The arterial and collector streets in the City of Eau Claire are also being cleared.
Those city street crews are plowing some 255 miles of residential streets.
Property owners are reminded that blowing or depositing snow into the street is prohibited by City ordinance.
