The Christmas spirit was evident in Wisconsin Rapids this year.

A woman had bought a computer to keep in contact with her husband in Iraq, but she left it in a shopping cart in the store's parking lot and it was gone ten minutes later.

She wrote about it in a letter to her newspaper, which prompted community members to buy her a new one. She was in tears when she got it. She says she only wrote to the paper to shame the person who took the original one.
