This holiday season generous people in the La Crosse area helped the Salvation Army surpass its red kettle donation goal.

The Salvation Army set a goal of $125,000 for the kettle campaign. But the latest tally is $130,000, and rising.

"The $130,000 we raise in the kettles goes into the $450,000 goal and that is money we need to help support our budget," says Wendy Franke, development director at the Salvation Army’s La Crosse office.

The Salvation Army's holiday drive will end on January 15th.
