Thrivent Financial for Lutherans will donate up to three (M) million dollars to help countries bordering the Indian Ocean recover from the tsunamis. Thrivent is headquartered in Minneapolis and serves clients in Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Thrivent of Minneapolis will give a million dollar grant. And, it will match up to two million in member contributions to Lutheran World Relief's "Wave of Giving" campaign.

It hopes to raise ten million dollars to provide clean water, food, shelter, and basic supplies -- and help rebuild clinics, schools and community centers.
