On Wednesday Republican State Representative Rob Kreibich unveiled a detailed plan for his proposed consolidation of the UW-system two-year campus with nearby four-year institutions.
Kreibich presented his plan, which he claims will cut $20-million in costs, in a joint senate assembly higher education hearing in Madison.
Kreibich says UW-Milwaukee and UW-Waukesha County are already looking into a possible merger.
The Eau Claire Republication believes the only issue standing in the way of his plans are deans of the two-year campuses concerned that Kreibich is trying to close down their intuitions.
