The Chippewa Valley Museum will soon have a moving exhibit that will be in local parades, car shows and educational programs.
The 1931 Seagrave pumper fire truck was once a part of the Eau Claire Fire Department's fleet, but has been out of commission since 1980.
The museum's director is looking forward to the mobile addition to their collection of Eau Claire history.
"The museum itself is an experience you can't equal in another location, but lots of people are at a special event or something, they're not going to come to the museum and this is a way to be out there where they are," says Susan McLeod.
Members of the Indianhead Antique Car Club will spend some time this weekend putting the finishing touches on exterior renovations.
