A college football assistant coach in Oshkosh who counseled minors against drinking was killed over the weekend in a hit-and-run accident.
27-year old Joseph Mostofi is a coach at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. He was killed early yesterday in a crash involving three cars and a semitrailer in Winnebago County.
Sheriff's department Sergeant Todd Christie says a 25-year-old Oshkosh man who left the scene was eventually stopped.
He is expected to appear in Winnebago County court Monday.
Christie says alcohol was a factor in the crash.
U-W-Oshkosh football defensive coordinator Pat Cerroni says coaches and teammates gathered at the university after learning of the accident.
He says his players are crushed over losing a man they considered family.
