Menomonie Interchange to Be Expanded

The interchange will get both of its right turn lanes extended about 200 feet. Stop lights will also be installed at the interstate on-ramps.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation says the improvements are necessary to keep pace with the increase of semi-truck and commercial traffic at the intersection.

The project is estimated to cost $300,000, most of which will be paid with a federal grant. Construction is scheduled to begin the summer of 2006.
