It's news many Green Bay Packer fans have been waiting and wanting to hear.
The Associated Press says quarterback Brett Favre is going to play in 2005 for Green Bay.
Coach Mike Sherman tells the AP he had a two hour conversation with Favre last night and Favre told him his wife is doing well in her cancer treatment. That opens the way for him to play at least one more N.F.L. season, maybe more if his own health holds up.
Sherman says the decision came down to Deanna Favre's health, and she's doing well in her recovery from breast cancer.
