Former Substitute Teacher Charged with Sexual Assault

A trial date is set for a former Pierce County substitute teacher accused of having sex with a 13-year-old student.

Anne Knopf, 39, is charged with repeated sexual assault of the same child.

Her trial is scheduled to start on April 24th.

The criminal complaint shows the 13-year-old boy drove to her Ellsworth home, where they would kiss and have sex, once a week, for four or five weeks.

Knopf was a substitute teacher at Prescott Middle School for two years.

The boy is a student there.

School leaders say she was fired.
