Tanker Rollover Closes I-394

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- A tanker rollover has forced authorities to shut down Interstate 394 near the Lowry Hill tunnel in downtown Minneapolis.

The tanker was carrying 7,000 gallons of gasoline. Some of the fuel is leaking.

As a precaution, authorities closed I-394 and blocked off several streets in the area.

The State Patrol says the tanker overturned around 9:15 Wednesday morning as it tried to navigate the ramp from westbound I-94 at Hennepin Avenue to westbound I-394.

No injuries are reported. Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
