Younger Americans will be getting more stringent drivers' licenses soon.
Under post-Sept. 11 security rules, people born after December 1 of 1964 will be getting more secure licenses crafted by the Homeland Security Department.
The new rules will be unveiled Friday. Homeland Security says, by 2014, anyone who wants to board an airplane or enter a federal building will have to present a real id act-compliant driver's license.
There's one notable exception: people over 50.
The feds say the risk of someone in that age group being a terrorist, illegal immigrant or con artist is much less.
