State Attorney General Peg Lautenschlager has a number of government reforms planned for the election year. On Wednesday, Lautenschlager unveiled a list of proposals meant to make the system more open.
The list includes a ban on campaign contributions from any organization applying for a government contract. There is also a proposal to combine the Ethics Board with the Elections Board to create a non-partisan body to redraw district boundaries. Another plan calls from expanding the Public Records Law to include bills drafted for the legislature.
Each proposal would need to be approved by the General Assembly and Governor Doyle.
