More than 30 inmates at Stanley Prison received degrees Friday at their commencement ceremony.
For many of the men at Friday's ceremony it was the first time they enjoyed education and earned one of three degrees.
A general education degree, a high school equivalency degree or a vocational degree from CVTC.
One of the instructors say inmates who receive an education are much less likely to re-offend when they are released.
Many of the graduates are making future plans.
Some want to start college and others have dreams of owning their own business.
