UW-Stout Building

A building on the UW Stout campus is in need of a major make-over, which could happen soon if a proposal passes all of the required phases for approval.

Jarvis Hall houses the campus' science and technology classes, but all of the facilities are more than 30 years old and out of date, say officials.

They've proposed a $41 million project to update the building and put in new, larger classrooms and labs.

The Board of Regents and the State Building Commission have unanimously approved the project, but it still has to get approval from the Legislature and Governor Doyle before any work can begin.
