Students have returned to Red Lake High School for the first time since a gunman killed five students, a teacher and security guard three weeks ago.
There was a healing ceremony outside, then a chance for students and parents to go in.
Once students clear out their lockers, school officials plan to closed the newer section of school where the shootings happened for extensive renovations.
High school classes are scheduled to resume Tuesday in an older part of the school, far from the crime scene.
Regular elementary classes are being held today under heavy security. Armed guards are expected to patrol the hallways.
Reporters were not allowed at the healing ceremony or inside the school.
