Fatal Fire in Taylor County

One person is dead after a house fire Sunday in Taylor County.

It happened at about 4:20 Sunday afternoon on Keyes Avenue, northwest of Medford.

The home was fully engulfed when crews got to the scene.

The Taylor County sheriff's department says preliminary autopsy results show 66-year-old Ralph Monahan died of natural causes prior to the fire.

Monahan was the only person in the house.

There's no word on what caused the fire or how much damage it caused.
