Police Looking for Attempted Murder Suspect
Late this afternoon, police announced they are looking for 32 year old Roberto Rios in connection with an attack on his wife.
Police say they got a call around ten o'clock last night about a woman who had been hit several times in the head with a hammer.
The incident happened at the couples home on New Pine Drive on Altoona' s south side.
Despite having what police describe as severe injuries the woman was able to drive herself to a family members home where she was then taken to the hospital.
Authorities won't release the woman's current condition.
They say Rios carries a knife and is considered armed and dangerous.
Police believe Rios is driving a white 1998 Chevrolet Z-71 pick-up with license number AJ 7518.
Anyone with information is asked to call local authorities.
