UW-Eau Claire is a busy place with the impending visit from Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.

The Illinois Senator is expected to speak Saturday at 1 p.m. at UW-Eau Claire's Zorn Arena.

Communications Director Mike Rindo says all UW-Eau Claire parking lots will be open, except for Schnieder Hall.

Local campaign advisors say Obama's speech will last about 45 minutes.

Rindo says doors will open at 11 am.

“Campaign leaders told me no signs and no packages will be allowed, cameras will likely be allowed,” Rindo says, “but there will be a metal detector, so there will be full security."

Rindo says Zorn holds about 3,200 people and it is a first come, first serve basis so he recommends coming early.
