Toxic Waste Recycling

With the usual spring gardening and home improvement projects going on this time of year most people end up with some extra paint and chemicals lying around, so Eau Claire County Recycling is offering people a chance to dispose of toxic waste properly free of charge.

The Waste Research and Reclamation Center on Highway 93(5200 State Road 93, 836-8785), will be accepting items like oil based paint, bathroom and kitchen cleaners along with lawn care products and pesticides from nine am until one tomorrow.

Residents dumping more toxic items like anti-freeze, batteries and aresol products will be charged a nominal fee.
