The new city administrator in Chippewa Falls is no stranger to be the first person to serve in the position.
Dan Elsass was the first city administrator in Fitchburg. He says he'll use many of the lessons he learned in the growing Madison suburb and apply them in Chippewa Falls, for projects like the upcoming development around Highway 29.
"I think we're going to be a city that's growing rapidly," Daniel Elsass. "City government just needs to respond to those challenges and plan for them and try to manage the growth and make it work with what's already here to make the city better."
Elsass says he'll also focus on assisting the mayor, city personnel matters, and helping balance the annual $12 million budget.
