Bloomer military veterans who are returning from combat duty overseas are in for a nice surprise.
Since February, the town's Chamber of Commerce has been doing the "Mission Welcome Home" project.
It's a community wide effort to give Bloomer veterans a care package when they return home from serving in combat overseas.
A father of a Marine who served in Iraq says it's good to know they have the community's support.
The care packages have $2,500 worth of certificates from more than 30 Bloomer businesses.
