Possible Suspect Jailed In Monroe County Double Homicide

Monroe County law enforcement in Sparta says there's a possbile breakthrough in the deaths of a man and woman who disappeared from their Sparta home on Easter Sunday, 2002.

Their bodies were found in a wooded area in northern Monroe County near Cataract by a hunter last December. The victims were identified as 30-year-old Kale Kvistad, Junior and 34-year-old Connie Degeorge.
The cause of death was not disclosed.

The Monroe County district attorney says the person in jail is being held on a sexual assault charge, and that "he's a possible suspect in the case."
