If you've been outside busy doing yard work and waiting for a place to dump your brush the wait is almost over.
The new Eau Claire County brush disposal site, located on Highway Q near the Onyx Seven Mile Creek Landfill, will open for the first time Saturday.
County officials expect traffic at the eleven acre parcel will be busy.
"I really expect that we're going to have several hundred vehicles," said Jon Tullman, Eau Claire County planner." Back when we were at Birch Street on a good Saturday we were not surpassed to get 350 to 400 vehicles, given two and a half months pent up demand, I expect it to be quite active."
The disposal site will be open both Saturdays and Tuesdays, with fewer people expected during the week.
The old facility on Birch Street was closed in January due to road construction.
Officials say they're hoping to eventually open another brush site closer to the city sometime in the next year.
