Yesterday was only the 23rd day that the full assembly has been at work in more than a year, dating back to last January.
Even yesterday, the Assembly didn't get down to work until 7:30 last night, or more than seven hours after the scheduled start time.
Democrat Frank Boyle of superior says, "we don't do anything! I'm embarrassed to be here."
But Republican Speaker Mike Huebsch of West Salem defended the low number of meeting days. Huebsch says no one claims the green bay packers only work 17 days of the year and lawmakers have spent countless hours holding hearings and working on legislation
Democratic Representative Marlin Schneider says it's the single worst legislative session he's ever seen, and he's been in the Assembly since 1971.

That sure is some great reporting. You could have mentioned the poor conduct that liberals like Schneider and Boyle demonstrated on the floor. Certainly there is more to this story, but that may be a bit more work and a bit too bipartisan for this reporter. Amazing.
