A Marathon County man has pleaded not guilty to first-degree reckless homicide in the death of his infant daughter earlier this year.
Twenty-four-year-old Quentin Louis remains in Marathon County Jail on a 200-thousand dollar cash bond. He was first charged March 23rd.
An autopsy says his four-month-old daughter, Madelyn Louis, died in March of injuries consistent with shaken baby syndrome.
Authorities say Louis admitted to shaking the baby at his home in Athens after becoming frustrated that the child would not take a bottle.
Louis wrote to authorities that he felt terrified that he hurt her and believed he had killed the most precious thing in his life.
