Friends and family are having a benefit for Josh Westaby's family to help raise funds to cover the remaining amount from his funeral expenses. Josh’s family did not have insurance.
Josh Westaby was killed on January 27th of this year when the vehicle he was driving hit a train near Menomonie. The sheriff’s department says dense fog was likely the cause of the crash.
Thereasa Rinchich is coordinating the benefit, and she says there will also be a petition at the benefit in an effort to have the railroad and the Department Of Transportation to put lights at this railroad crossing where Westaby was killed.
The Benefit for Josh Westaby Family will be April 5th from 5 p.m. until 12 a.m. at Dean & Sues in Menomonie. The benefit will include a raffle, door prizes, food and music.
For more information, you can call Terri Rinchich at 715-864-4838 or his aunt, Lori Westaby at 715-962-9102
