Man's Body Pulled From Sparta Creek May Have Connection To Double Homicide

The man pulled from a Sparta creek over the weekend was named a primary suspect in a double homicide investigation.

Police say 37-year-old Troy Hogan of Sparta was found dead in Beaver Creek Saturday morning.

The La Crosse Tribune reports Hogan was named a suspect this month in connection to the deaths of Connie DeGeorge and her live-in boyfriend, Kale Kvistad the second.

The two were last seen in March, 2002. A hunter found their bones in the woods in the town of New Lyme in December 2004. Both had been shot in the head.

Besides Hogan, a 36-year-old Neillsville man is also considered a suspect. He's still in custody on an unrelated sexual assault charge.
