Missing Child
Parents of a 19-month-old baby had a scare Wednesday when their child went missing for almost an hour at Oakwood mall in Eau Claire.
Police received a call around 1 p.m. Wednesday saying a baby was missing at the mall and it was a possible abduction.
When police got there they were told an acquaintance of the baby's parents had taken the child.
Police were then sent to the acquaintance's residence where she later arrived with the baby.
Police say it's still too early to say whether or not this was an attempted kidnapping.
Officials say the baby was not harmed, and a report will be submitted to the district attorney, who will decide whether or not charges will be filed.
