Cub Foods to Change Ownership
Gordy's County Market, a familiar name in Chippewa Falls, will soon be opening a third grocery store in Eau Claire.
The general manager says Gordy's has been looking to expand and when Supervalue representatives approached them about purchasing Cub Foods on Birch Street in Eau Claire, they accepted.
All 94 workers will stay after the acquisition.
"As we all know, the people make the company what it is so we plan on keeping the people all there and keeping everybody’s status the same," says Jeff Schafer.
The ownership will officially change hands on June 26 at midnight.
