Organizers of one of the largest fundraisers for the Muscular Dystrophy Association breathed a sigh of relief.
More than 150 golfers played Lake Wissota Golf Course in the 12th Annual Lee Nuutinen Golf tournament.
The tournament's founder says each year the support grows and they won't stop their fundraising efforts until there's a cure for muscular dystrophy.
"Lee would have been 30 years old today," say Keith Nuutinen. "We didn't plan it that way, but I think somebody else did and we're going to enjoy the day as if he were here."
Last year, the event raised $20,000 to support research, buy equipment for families and help send kids to a week at Camp Courage.
