After numerous delays, and a reconsideration by the Eau Claire City Council, Developers from the Goldridge Group got the approval to increase the height of two condominium towers.
In a vote of nine to two the Waterford Development, which will be the where the former Eau Claire Country Club once sat, will be able to make the changes they wanted to their plans.
The developers did offer to reduce the height from 145 feet to 135 feet.
Meanwhile, the Council also voted to deconstruct the Birch Street bridge over Hastings Way, and make the intersection level, and add signal lights.
The construction will be a part of the improvement project to upgrade the future business Highway 53.
The construction will begin after the new Highway 53 Bypass opens in the fall of 2006.
