The Eau Claire Area School District has created a proposal to allow all seventh and eighth grade boys and girls to participate in sports, even if they're not enrolled in a public school.

Interim Superintendent Gregg Butler says under the proposal, the costs to run the middle school sports program wouldn't change at all.

He also says this is an opportunity to develop a stronger partnership with the community.
