A redesigned $5 bill makes its public debut Thursday.

The U.S. Department of the Treasury digitally unveiled the new bill online in September.

The new fives still feature a portrait of President Abraham Lincoln.

They also have two new watermarks and an enhanced security thread to help prevent counterfeiting.

The bills are being shipped to banks Thursday, so they can be put into circulation.
