The Wisconsin Broadcasters Association has launched its digital television awareness campaign.
During the month of March the organization is doing a series of regional meetings to increase public awareness and educate community leaders about the February 2009 switch to digital television.
Michelle Vetterkind, the President of WBA, says Wisconsin has the third highest percentage of households who recieve their reception through an antenna. She says there are basically three steps to take to prepare for the switch.
1.) Apply for a converter box
2.) Buy a television with a built-in digital tuner
3.) Subscribe to a cable/satellite or another telephone service provider.
To learn more about the switch, go to our website at weau.com and click on "HDTV" at the top of the screen.
