Man Sentenced in Gas Station Robbery

A man who robbed a gas station with three other people in Rusk County will spend 10 years in prison.

Monday, a judge also sentenced Merlyn Dailey, 29, to 10 years of extended supervision. Dailey will have to pay $8,500 in restitution and cooperate with prosecutors in the trial for Regina Topinka, another suspect in the robbery.

In January, Dailey pleaded guilty to one count of robbery with use of force by a repeat offender.

Investigators say in June, four people robbed a gas station in Tony and attacked the clerk.

Officers go on to say that one person put duct tape over the clerk's mouth and nose and started kicking her.
