Body Of Missing Marathon County Man Found In Wisconsin River

Relatives of a Mosinee man who's been missing since early February say his body has been found in the Wisconsin River.

Authorities have been searching for Jeffrey Liepitz since he was reported missing on February 10th. His mother says the discovery of the body yesterday brings relief and closure to the family.

The 35-year-old Liepitz was last seen at Dinger's Sports Bar in Mosinee, about a block from the river, on one of the coldest days this winter.

An autopsy is planned to positively identify the body.

Authorities say water levels were lowered in a channel in the river upstream from a dam to allow Monday's search.
