A teen from Chippewa Falls has died from his injuries after being hit by a train Monday near Lake Wissota.
13-year-old, Michael Wili, was hit around 1 p.m. Monday when, according to police, he ran back to retrieve his fishing pole from a bridge he and his friends were fishing on.
The impact threw Wili into about six feet of water where rescue officials later found the boy.
At the time, Wili was unconscious but had a pulse. He was later airlifted to a Twin Cities hospital. The cause his death of his death has not yet been determined.
