The parents of a seven-year-old boy who nearly drowned in a hotel pool last weekend in Tomah say he's making progress, but it's not yet known if he'll suffer any long term effects from the accident.

Police responded to a call of an unconscious child who was found in a pool at the Holiday Inn Sunday afternoon. Paramedics were able to revive Haven Lambert, who was then rushed to a nearby hospital.

The boy's parents, Heather and Leath Lambert, say they allowed their son to go swimming with two of his friends, with the understanding that an adult would be watching them.

Investigators say that adult left the children alone in the pool area. Police continue to investigate
