The two men injured in a chemical plant explosion are still in critical condition as of Monday night.
Cleanup work continues at the Spooner chemical plant that exploded last week.
The Spooner Fire Chief says a structural engineer declared parts of Cortec unsafe, so those parts of the building will have to be demolished, which will take several weeks.
The Department of Natural Resources is monitoring the area for runoff contamination from the explosion and fire. Preliminary tests show little to no pollution; however, Waste Management Specialist Jim Ross says final test results could take up to two weeks.
Hospital leaders tell us both Aaron Merchant and Cory Labonte are hospitalized in critical condition.
