The Eau Claire City Council approved job credit loans for Idexx Laboratories, which will bring more than 100 new jobs to the area.

Eau Claire Economic Development Administrator, Mike Schatz, says Idexx can now expand and bring 133 new jobs to the city over the next five years. The company is on the city's Northwest side. It specializes in veterinary software, aspects such as diagnostic tests and laboratory services.

Schatz says the new jobs will average around $33,000 a year and include benefits.
