TOMAHAWK, Wis. (AP) -- The Lincoln County coroner says a Tomahawk gas station employee killed during a robbery fought her attacker before she died.
Coroner Paul Proulx said after an autopsy was completed Tuesday in Madison that the official cause of death was severe blunt head trauma and sharp force injury.
The body of 25-year-old Rochelle Anderson of Irma was found Saturday night by a Tomahawk police officer behind the Zephyr Fuel gas and convenience store where she worked.
Proulx says there were multiple apparent knife wounds to Anderson's back, and she sustained injuries to both arms that were consistent with a struggle.
