The Crawford County Sheriff’s Department says a two-vehicle head-on crash last week sent two people to the hospital.

Deputies say it happened on Friday, March 21st on Highway 179 in Eastman Township, about three miles west of Steuben.

They say 23-year-old Patrick Sprosty, of rural Steuben, was driving east when his car crossed the center line and hit a county highway snowplow, which was going the other way.

Deputies say Gary Roberts, also of rural Steuben, was driving the plow.

The Sheriff’s Department says Sprosty’s passenger, 21-year-old Joseph Sprosty, was trapped in the car and had to be cut out.

Both Patrick and Sprosty were taken to Boscobel Area Health Care.

Deputies say the snow plow had minor damage and was driven away from the scene.
