An Ohio jury has convicted a former Wisconsin man of a Dayton-area man's death, 36 years ago.

Montgomery County jurors on Wednesday deliberated about two hours before convicting 63-year-old Robert Sosnoskie of second-degree murder in the death of Perry Smith in June 1971. Prosecutors say Sosnoskie bludgeoned Smith to death in his home near Dayton. Smith was 76-years-old at the time.

Montgomery Judge A.J. Wagner immediately sentenced Sosnoskie to 15 years to life in prison.

Sosnoskie was a traveling salesman at the time of the murders. Police say they matched 17 fingerprints from Smith's Harrison Township home to Sosnoskie.

He was arrested in Tiffany, Wisconsin, last year after police matched those fingerprints using a computer database.
